This July 1st Hinode Taiko will be drumming with the Winnipeg Chinese Cultural and Community Centre to celebrate Canada Day!
Hinode Taiko is excited to return to the opening ceremonies of Manitoba’s largest Japanese anime and pop culture convention, Ai-kon! Entrance to the opening ceremonies is included in the Friday One Day Pass or a Weekend Pass.
For more information about the convention visit the Ai-kon website.
Catch us at the Japanese pavilion during Folklorama’s week 2! Experience a feast for the five senses in the beautiful and artistic wonders found on the island-locked nation of Japan. From the echo of Taiko drums in your chest, to the sights and sounds of traditional Japanese song and dance, there will be no shortage of excitement! Once you’ve settled in, be sure to sample some of our culinary delights, such as “Donburi” (rice bowl with topping) accompanied by “Kakigori” frozen dessert or a smooth Japanese Whisky.
Cost: $7.50 per ticket (plus applicable service fee).
