Join Hinode Taiko for Free Community Workshops this June!

Come experience AOZORA “blue sky” matsuri, a festival song and dance specially created to celebrate our community on the Canadian Prairies!

Dates and Times:
 
Thursday, June 5th 7:00-8:00pm
AND
Thursday, June 19th 7:00–8:00pm
 
What to expect?
At each workshop, participants will learn to drum and dance to Aozora Matsuri. You are welcome to come to one session or both! The workshops are open to all ages and experience levels.
 
Location:
The gym of the Japanese Cultural Association of Manitoba, 180 McPhillips Street. Please enter the building through the blue side door.
 
What to bring:
Indoor shoes, clothing you can move in, and lots of energy!
 
Admission:
Free!
No registration fee. No sign up necessary.


BEGINNER CLASSES

Have you already taken a workshop and now want to expand your taiko knowledge? Come join our weekly beginner class! We meet every Monday from 7:30–9:00 pm.

In each session students learn taiko technique, drills, and a song.

A new session will begin again in the Fall.

Eligible participants will be contacted directly with registration details.
